These are items that I am loving this week! Maybe you’ll love them too 🙂
- I love Hydrogel Eye Masks. I usually pick one or two up whenever I am in Target or Sephora. I usually don’t notice too much of a physical difference from them but I always feel refreshed which is why I keep using them. These eye masks from e.l.f actually make a huge difference for me though. I’ve been using them on mornings that I don’t get enough sleep the night before and they significantly improve my under eye bags which is a win for me 🙂 I picked them up at Target and I highly recommend them! e.l.f Charcoal Eye Mask
- I love my bean boots. They’re extremely comfortable and are all around a great boot for inclement weather be it rain or snow. LLBean Bean boots are a staple boot for the fall and winter months. They always seem out around the holidays so I would grab them early. LLBean Boots
- I’ve seen a few influencers recommend these jeans so when Madewell ran their “all jeans are $75″ I grabbed a pair and I am so happy that I did. I love that Madewell had a petite option. Length of jeans/pants is always my biggest complaint as I am only 5’2”. These hit perfectly at the ankle, I love the distressed hem and rips that are right at my knees. They have a ton of stretch so if you are between sizes I would size down. Pre kids I always wore a 26, post kids I bounce between 26 and 27 so I ordered a 27 and they are a little loose in my waist. However, I love these jeans so much i will probably order the 26 at some point too. Madewell 9″ mid rise skinny jean
- I love this camo rain jacket from Jcrew. I ordered it in the spring and it is still in stock. It’s not as heavy as traditional rain jacket so if you’re going out in a soaking rain you may still feel a little wet however, we have had some on and off rain on Long Island the past week and it’s been perfect for running errands or heading to work. LOVE WHERE YOR LIVE – A SERIES – THE GINNY MARIE
October 14, 2020

Do you ever take the time to explore where you live? I mean really explore. Frequent the local shops and restaurants, visit local towns that you’ve never been too, vacation within your general area? With COVID putting a halt to most travel, now is the perfect time to support small and local businesses and spend time “vacationing” in our hometowns so when my friend wanted to plan a morning sailing with a local schooner we all said “yes!”
In mid September my friends and I spent a beautiful (and chilly) Saturday morning sailing on the Ginny Marie Schooner out of Port Jefferson Harbor. The Ginny Marie Schooner is a restored William Atkin Schooner captained by Captain Murphy that began pleasure cruises this past summer. It fits a maximum of six guests so whether you are going with a group of friends/family or a date night it’s perfect. Keep in mind if you book less then six people the other slots may be booked by other people so it might not be completely private. We had six in total so it was perfect for us. You can bring your own food and drink so we had bagels and mimosas and promptly at 10am we set sail into Port Jeff Harbor. The seas were rough so we stayed right in the harbor vs heading out to the Sound which was totally fine with me as the rocky water was making me slightly sea sick and a little anxious but once Captain Murphy realized that I was struggling he managed to keep the Schooner in a path of calm waters. The morning was wonderful. A perfect way for six best friends to reconnect after months of not being able to spend too much time together and exploring something right in our backyards that we have never experienced before. After we docked we headed over to Danfords for lunch on the top deck. I’ve been to Danfords more times then I can count, mostly for cocktails or appetizers on the dock. They often have live music playing and its such a nice atmosphere especially during the summer months when the boats and yachts are in the slips but I’ve never eaten on the top deck. Truthfully I didn’t even know there was space there. I split the lobster roll and truffle fries with a friend and they were both amazing! It was much quieter and no foot traffic sitting up there which made it feel like a totally different restaurant so if you’re looking to eat on the water but don’t like the crowds of people walking the docks ask to sit upstairs.
If you live local to the area I highly suggest trying it out. The Ginny Marie sets sail Monday thru Sunday at 10am, 1pm and 4pm and you can make reservations on their website Ginnymarieschooner.com For reservations at Danfords you can check their website Danfords.com Danfords has a Hotel and Spa as well so if you are not from the area or are local and looking to have a staycation, you can book a weekend away and explore the North Shore of Long Island.
For more information on Port Jefferson you can also check out Portjeff.com they have a list of local restaurants and shops as well as local events that are scheduled.

These are items that I am loving this week! Maybe you’ll love them too 🙂
1. I’ve been seeing this brand of skincare on Instagram and was curious as to how they were. I received a number of products but these are my favorite. All of their products are cruelty free which I love. My favorites are the Coco Cream Body Butter, the Rose Velvet Balancing Face Fluid and the Coco Wow Glam Scrub. The body butter is extremely rich and makes my skin feel amazing. I’ve always moisturized daily but this is by far the best that I’ve used. You can also use code GLAM8 for 30% off your order 🙂 Hellobody.com
2. Lip sleeping masks have become very popular lately. I’ve been curious about them but I haven’t wanted to spend $20+ on one. I saw this Sweet Chef one at Target and decided to try it. It’s $14.99 and let me tell you, it’s amazing! I used to just use chapstick at night but this Vitamin E lip mask makes my lips feel so soft when I wake up. I highly highly suggest trying it! Sweet Chef Lip Sleeping Mask
3. I am not a big PSL fan, I know, not the popular opinion 😬 but this Pumpkin Spice Granola by bear naked is so good! It has just a hint on pumpkin spice flavor which plenty enough to get me in the fall mood. I’ve been adding it to plain Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey and a little cinnamon for breakfast and honestly, I could eat it for dessert too! Bear Naked Pumpkin Spice Granola
4. I am OBSESSED with these Amazon Bralettes. Since going back to work I’m all about wearing what it going to be most comfortable underneath all of the PPE that we wear. I had seen fashion jackson recommend the Jockey Tshirt bra so I grabbed one from Target and I like it a lot. It’s very comfortable under my scrubs, the straps don’t slip down and there isn’t a hook and eye closure irritating my back. I was going to pick up some more but saw this set on Amazon and decided to try them and I LOVE them! They are slightly padded so provide some shape which is great for a Tshirt bra and I love that the back dips low. I would definitely wear these everyday vs an underwire bra. They only come in one size but it says it will fit women 80-165lbs. I’m petite and it fits very well if not a little big. It has a ton of stretch so I would say it would fit larger sizes well also. Another plus is they’re $17 for three and currently have a 5% off coupon making them under $5.50 each! Amazon Bralette

These are items that I am loving this week! Maybe you’ll love them too 🙂
1. I’ve been loving these cups! I try my hardest to drink as much water as I can especially while I am at work. I used to use a 64oz bubba cup but it doesn’t fit in any cup holders and it’s difficult to drive and hold a giant cup. These fit nicely in the cup holder and they’re only $4.99 for three! Target 3 Pack of Cups
2. I love supporting small and local businesses especially when it’s started by someone you know! The handmade market is a local Long Island company with the cutest Long Island themed items. My husband and I have shirts from here but I love this new campfire mug they just came out with! Campfire Mug from Handmade Market Co
3. I found these masks from StyledSnapshots on Instagram. I have a few of the plain ones and even got some matching ones for my daughter. They’re so soft and comfortable and don’t hurt my ears which is especially important to me since the masks I wear at work give me the worst ear pain. I plan on ordering some more plain ones for fall outfits but I really love these tie dye ones too. The prices range from $5-$9 Tie Dye Masks from LittleMiaBella
4. When I decided to start this blog I realized that I really needed to get organized. Creating lists and timelines helps me to stay sane during stressful days. I love this planner because it not only has a monthly view where I can visualize appointments and the babysitting schedule but it also has an area for to do lists, daily schedule and notes. Perfect for trying to stay on schedule and complete daily tasks. The exact one I have is out of stock but this one is very similar. Monthly Planner
