Let’s face it, after all of the cancelled, postponed, rescheduled, and delayed planned weddings we now have A LOT to celebrate this wedding season. After a bust of a year and spending the past year and a half in sweats and loungewear it’s time to break out that formalwear to celebrate our friends, family and loved ones because friends…it’s wedding season!
Memorial Day. The unofficial start of summer, the it’s okay to wear white pants now, the break out those denim cutoffs and sun dresses, the it’s cool to wear red white and blue is here! After what felt like a long, cold winter the excitement of Memorial Day and Summer is palpable.
May the Fourth be with you 🙂 sorry guys I had to. Having a mid week day off from work with my husband doesn’t happen that often so when it does I often have these grandiose plans of wine and dinner or spending the day at the beach if it’s nice out but instead we spent the day deep cleaning our house (at least I looked cute).
With Mother’s Day fast approaching I thought I’d put together a Mother’s Day gift guides for easy shopping for mom, mother in law, aunt, or even for doing a little shopping for yourself. In my household Mother’s Day gifts traditionally consist of an engraved piece of jewelry, a favorite beauty item or an early summer accessory. These are so of my top picks to give inspiration for that special mom in your life.
The weather here in New York is finally starting to feel like spring and I don’t know about you but the excitement of being able to go out without a jacket or being able to wear a cute pair of shoes and not boots or sneakers is real!
So I know the age old saying tells use we can only wear white between Memorial Day and Labor Day but I say forget that and let’s break out those white sundresses (and maybe some tanning lotion)
I don’t know about you but prior to having kids I never liked matching with people. In high school I never jumped on the “all of my friends wear the same things” train, my husband and I rarely coordinate our looks on date night or when going to weddings and even now, the thought of constantly matching my daughter and son or the kids to my husband and I is not my cup of tea. However, these styles from BuddyLove are so cute and summery and I can definitely see myself and daughter enjoying some “twinning” moments on vacation this summer.
With spring right around the corner we often feel it’s time to change out our closets and drawers from cold weather items like jackets and sweaters to summer styles like shorts and camisoles, but what if I told you that you should keep your sweaters out all year round? Would you believe me? I’m going to show you how to style those sweaters from Winter to Summer to get the most bang for your buck.
I love a great Splurge vs Save! These two dresses are both great options and it truly comes down to price point. Embroidered dresses are popping up everywhere this spring/summer season. I love that the embroidery on these dresses is subtle and classic.
I may receive a commission from sales made throughlinks in this post.
While I love the look of embroidery on dresses I sometimes feel that it may be too over the top, too “vacation” style for every day wear. These two options are perfect for daily wear, the casual backyard party or even dinner out (very versatile).
Blue and white dresses are a closet staple for spring and summer so these two dresses fall right on trend. I love the belted detail on the H&M dress as it cinches the waist to give definition that is often lost with a flowy maxi dress.
Today marks 27 days till Easter Sunday and while you may not be religious or even Christian, Easter always signifies the start or the spring season to me. It’s the start are spring colors, dresses and lighter fabrics. I thought it could be fun to do a play on the movie and compile 27 Dresses of all different price points that you need for spring and summer.
